Draft Stormwater Ordinance
The City, in accordance with Federal and State regulations, has
developed a draft Stormwater Ordinance. The ordinance details regulations that prohibit
discharge of any type of pollutant from entering the City's stormwater conveyance system.
The ordinance also provides Best Management
Practices to be used to alleviate potential sources of water
pollution. Even seemingly innocuous things, such as treated
drinking water can adversely affect the fragile ecosystems that
occupy our local creeks, lakes and oceans. Working together we
can protect the unique features and qualities of our environment
that makes our City a very special place to live, work and play in.
We appreciate your input and comments, so please review the
draft Stormwater Ordinance and comment or contact the
Stormwater Manager at
805-783-7866. |
