Housing Policy & Law Forum to be held on Tuesday, July 11th
City staff invites the community to learn more and offer suggestions about the current housing situation in San Luis Obispo during a community forum July 11th at the Ludwick Community Center (864 Santa Rosa St.).

The Housing Policy & Law Forum, which will begin at 6 p.m., will help the community better understand the housing situation on both a state and local level, with an emphasis on how state laws impact local decisions regarding housing. The forum will also address how the City intends to address the housing issue, and there will be a discussion of how affordable housing works.
Housing is one of the Major City Goals for 2017-19. At the same time, San Luis Obispo County has ranked among the most unaffordable places to live.
The forum will include statistics on county and city home sale and rental prices, along with information about upcoming state housing laws. Group discussion with City Council members will be encourage to better understand how the current housing situation impacts our residents and what should be done to make it better.
