HRC Community Needs Workshop to be held on Wednesday, October 4th
City staff invites the community to provide comments on current development and human service needs in San Luis Obispo, during an annual Community Needs Workshop hosted by the Human Relations Commission (HRC). This will be taking place on Wednesday, October 4th, 2017 in the Council Chambers at 990 Palm Street at 5:00 p.m.
The Grants-in-Aid (GIA) program provides financial support to non-profit organizations that promote the economic and social well-being of the citizens of San Luis Obispo. Some current funding priorities (not ranked) include homelessness prevention and services, hunger and malnutrition prevention, and services for seniors and/or people with disabilities.
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is a federal program administered by the HUD. Top funding priorities include emergency and transitional shelter, homelessness prevention and services; and developing and enhancing affordable housing for low and very-low income persons.
