Santa Rosa and Monterey Corner Project
On Monday, August 7, 2017 the ARC reviewed and approved a new three-story project located at 1101 Monterey Street and 1144 Higuera Street (the corner property that used to be the Shell gas station). The project includes 21,198 square feet of office space on the second and third stories, and 2,985 square feet of retail space, and 4,016 square feet of restaurant space on the ground floor. The project will share parking with the Mortgage House and have a total of 63 parking spaces and 51 bicycle parking spaces. The project will also implement a Transportation Demand Management Plan (TDMP) which promotes alternative modes of transportation such as carpooling, bicycle commuting, and taking public transportation.
