2009-11 Goal-Setting and
Budget Process
On June 16, 2009, the
Council approved a two-year budget for 2009-11. In San Luis
Obispo, this is much more than an "numbers" document: the budget
determines the City's priorities and sets our course for the next two
years. For this reason, the central question facing us in both
good times and bad is: What are the most important things for the
City to accomplish over the next two years? And with the very
tough fiscal outlook facing the City, which would be much worse without
Measure Y revenues, it's an especially important question this budget
season.
