Visit the Public Works Weather Station and get updates of wind speed and direction, rainfall, air temperature and pressure.
Wind, Rainfall, Air Pressure and Temperature data is collected by instruments located atop the Public Works
offices located at 919 Palm Street. Also, a radar stream
depth gauge located in downtown San Luis Obispo monitors the creek level. The data
is transmitted to a central computer and is posted to the web.
The information gathered from these instruments will allow City Engineering staff to
better determine the storm drainage issues in San Luis Obispo. It will also serve as
an early warning device for possible flooding conditions at San Luis Creek.
