The City of San Luis Obispo's Utilities Department has an exciting opportunity for community members who want to see a cleaner, greener, more sustainable SLO. The Department's Solid Waste & Recycling Program is looking for individuals to serve as 'RecycleRight' volunteers. Volunteers will be trained to be recycle and sustainability advocates at community events like The Downtown SLO Farmers Market occurring Thursday evenings in San Luis Obispo.
Currently, volunteers are needed to promote the City's installation of 30 new Sustainable SLO recycling and trash bins in Downtown's Mission Plaza at The Downtown SLO Farmers' Market on select dates.

Volunteers will walk away from training with a clear understanding of how to be successful in their role, including how to coach the public on proper sorting of waste (volunteers are not directly handling waste, don't worry!). All resources required for a safe, healthy, and fun shift will be provided including a safety vest, name badge, FAQ sheet, clipboard, Utilities Department business cards, and a tally sheet to track important program data.
