The Engineering Development Review division in Community Development review public improvement plans, tract maps, parcel maps and other important infrastructure plans. This report indicates how long the division takes on average to complete a plan check. Select individual application types or projects for more detailed information.

These reports are intended to help inform customers about the average time that it takes to process permits by day, week, month and or year. Each page of each report will show a different time frame.

This report indicates how much time an average building permit is in the City’s hands versus in the customer’s hands and is  intended to help customer gauge the total time needed for permit issuance. Larger, more complex projects will take longer than the average while many smaller projects are issued more quickly.

Building Permit Reviews by Work Class

This report gauges the quality of planning applications submitted to the City for review. Higher quality applications are accepted for processing in the first round. Many projects require two or three rounds of review before they are accepted for processing. Regardless of quality, more complex projects often take more than one round of review before they are deemed complete.

The following figures display the Code Enforcement statistics regarding the number of citations issued, active cases as well as the number of cases opened and closed for a selected date range. Those cases identified as NSS refer to instances in which violations were identified relating to neighborhood preservation and property maintenance standards (visible storage, overgrown vegetation, waste receptacles, parking areas, graffiti etc.). Those cases identified as Code Enforcement refer to instances for all other identified violations (unpermitted construction, animals, land use regulations etc.).
