Fire and Life Safety Self-Inspection
Certain businesses in SLO have been selected to participate in the Fire Department Self-Inspection Program. Businesses that qualify for this program have been chosen due to the low hazard associated with their business practices. These include small professional offices and some low hazard retail establishments.

Special Events
Open Flame, Outdoor Assembly, Mobile Food Vendor
Please fill out and submit your applications a month in advance and an inspector will contact you with any questions or necessary corrections, otherwise the approved permit will be sent to your email and shall be onsite of the event at all times.

Open Flame Info Sheet and Printable Application or Online Application - Required from SLOFD for utilization of open flame devices in public events (see requirements set forth in the application)

Outdoor Assembly Application or Online Application - Required from SLOFD if an outdoor event has over 1000 participants

Mobile Food Vendor Inspection Printable Application or Online Application - Required from SLOFD if participating in an outdoor public event within the City of SLO. Permits are valid for one year from date of issuance.
