ONLINE REPORTING IS NOT MEANT FOR IN-PROGRESS INCIDENTS. FOR EMERGENCIES, CALL 911.

If your incident is not included below, please call the non-emergency Dispatch line, (805) 781- 7312 to report the crime/incident. 

To Submit a Report Online, the Following Must be True:

  • There are no known suspects or witnesses (EXCEPTION: child custody order violations).
  • The crime occurred within the City limits (not on a state freeway).
  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • You must have a valid e-mail address. If you don't have an email address, please call non-emergency 805-781-7312 for assistance. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • When completed, you will receive a tracking number and be able to print a copy of your submission.
  • All incidents reported online will be reviewed.
  • Upon review, if further investigation of your incident is needed, you may be contacted for additional information. 
  • All personal information shared is secured and encrypted for your protection and will be used for criminal justice purposes only. 

Filing a false police report is a crime and is punishable under California Penal Code 148.5(a).
