Pavement Management Program in Action

The 2023 Arterial Paving Project will provide pavement maintenance and rehabilitation to various arterial roadways while implementing high priority active transportation infrastructure and increasing accessibility and safety for all roadway users.

Specific Design Objectives

  1. Provide maintenance and rehabilitation to damaged pavement and potholes to extend the life of the existing pavement surface
  2. Improve ADA access and parking availability for persons with disabilities
  3. Improve safety and access for walking and bicycling, incorporating high priority active transportation infrastructure as identified in the Active Transportation Plan
  4. Minimize impacts to on-street parking
  5. Minimize inconveniences to residents and businesses during construction

Project Timeline

The 2023 Arterial Paving Project started construction in the summer of 2023, and work is expected to be completed by mid-2024.

Click the street below for more information on the preliminary designs. These preliminary concept graphics identify locations where specific improvements are proposed by the City in addition to simply repairing pavement and replacing existing roadway striping. Improvements include projects already identified in adopted City plans or programs (i.e. General Plan, Active Transportation Plan, Traffic Safety Report).  Please contact City staff if there are additional improvements that you would like to be considered as part of this project.
