fb post

The City of San Luis Obispo is launching a new pilot program to encourage more students to take the bus to school and around town. The K-12 Ride Pass is a 15-ride pass that does not expire and costs half the price of a regular bus pass at only $11.25 or 75 cents per ride. Starting school is the perfect time for families to buy their students a pass as they figure out their daily commute.

The following discounted fares will be available for students K-12:

1 Ride Pass: $.75 (Available on the bus and the Token Transit app)

15 Ride Pass: $11.25 (Available on the Token Transit app and at the City Finance counter, 990 Palm St. SLO - Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)

31 Day Pass: $25.00 (Available on the Token Transit app and at the City Finance counter, 990 Palm St. SLO - Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)

On January 23, 2024, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 11473 (click for resolution), approving the pilot program offering expanded fare and pass options, increasing access to affordable transportation for K-12 students and providing minor financial relief to parents while also increasing local transit ridership.
