San Luis Garbage accepts trees for recycling after December 25th. 

Guidelines: 

  • REMOVE ALL DECORATIONS 

  • Cut trees into 4 foot or shorter lengths, with no tree parts greater than 6 inches in diameter. 

  • Place tree parts in your green waste cart

Unwanted lights, tree stands, ornaments, tinsel, and ribbon should be put in your landfill cart. 

Artificial and flocked trees must be taken to the landfill or put in your landfill cart. 

Please note: Holiday trees not in a cart and placed on the curb are subject to additional fees. Please call San Luis Garbage at (805) 543-0875 for additional information.
